Risk Disclosure

Please read this before relying on anything PolrWolf publishes. Investing, especially in crypto, involves risk of loss, including the loss of all the money you invest.

Effective September 29, 2026

1. What PolrWolf is and isn’t

PolrWolf publishes AI-generated summaries of public opinions from third-party sources, and measures of where those sources agree, for general information only. It is not investment advice. PolrWolf is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer or commodity trading advisor, doesn’t know your finances, and doesn’t consider whether anything is suitable for you. Signals are the same for everyone with the same filters. A consensus among commentators is not a prediction, and agreement can be wrong.

2. AI risk

An AI model labels posts. It can be wrong in ways that matter:

  • Misreading: sarcasm, jokes, hypotheticals, quotes of other people or ambiguous tickers can be labeled as a real view.
  • Misattribution: despite quote and author checks, a view could be attributed to the wrong person or asset.
  • Hallucination: summaries and rationales can contain statements that aren’t in the post.
  • Manipulation: posts can be written to fool AI systems or to trigger alerts.
  • Model changes: updates to the AI model can change how posts are labeled over time.

Always check the quoted original post before acting.

3. Source risk

The people and feeds PolrWolf tracks can be wrong, change their minds, or delete posts. Some hold positions in what they discuss, run paid groups, promote products, or may be paid to promote an asset. Headline accounts can publish false headlines. When many commentators follow each other, apparent agreement can reflect herding rather than independent judgment. Known caveats are listed on the sources page, but we can’t know every conflict.

4. Timing risk

PolrWolf publishes signal updates on a fixed schedule: at :55 past each hour from 9:55 AM to 3:55 PM ET and at 4:25 PM ET on US market days, and every 3 hours at :25 otherwise. Every signal appears on the public feed first. Notifications only tell you it was published.

Because of this schedule, and because scans can be delayed, an alert may arrive an hour or more after the underlying posts, and longer overnight and on weekends. Push, Telegram and email delivery can be delayed or fail. Prices can move sharply between a post, a publication and the moment you read an alert, and some firms receive certain posts much faster than PolrWolf.

5. Market risk

Stocks and ETFs can lose value quickly and may not recover. Liquidity, gaps between trading sessions, news, earnings and broad market moves can cause losses. Diversification doesn’t guarantee a profit or protect against loss. Only invest money you can afford to lose.

6. Crypto risk

Crypto assets trade around the clock and are highly volatile. Exchanges and custodians can fail, be hacked or freeze withdrawals. Networks can fork or change. Laws and regulatory interpretations can change quickly. Crypto assets aren’t protected by SIPC or FDIC insurance. PolrWolf covers spot BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP and DOGE only, and never covers futures, options, perpetuals or leveraged products.

7. Hypothetical performance

The backtest on the track record page is hypothetical. Simulated results have inherent limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, they do not represent actual trading, may under- or over-compensate for market factors such as lack of liquidity, and are designed with the benefit of hindsight: the tracked voices were chosen knowing some of their history, and the AI model may have been trained on information published after some of the posts. It uses default settings only; your filters would produce different results. No representation is made that anyone will achieve similar results. Past performance, actual or hypothetical, does not guarantee future results. See the methodology for details.

8. Conflicts

PolrWolf’s owner and staff don’t trade an asset from 24 hours before to 24 hours after PolrWolf publishes a signal on it. We accept no payment from companies, token projects, brokers or the people we track, run no ads, and use no affiliate links. Read the full Conflicts Policy.

9. AI agents

PolrWolf offers a read-only feed that AI agents can access. PolrWolf never places orders, but an agent you connect to a brokerage account might. That brings its own risks:

  • Autonomy: some brokerage agentic accounts let an agent place, change or cancel orders without asking you first, if you allow it. Agents can misunderstand instructions, act on incomplete information, repeat an action or place an order you didn’t intend. Keep order previews and your AI app’s confirmations on, and approve each order yourself. You are responsible for your agent’s trades.
  • Stale data: PolrWolf publishes on a fixed schedule, so its data can be an hour or more old, and much older overnight and on weekends. Every response says when it was published, when the next update is due and when it goes stale, but an agent can ignore those fields. Prices can move a lot in the meantime.
  • Prompt injection: PolrWolf summarizes posts written by third parties, and some people write content designed to manipulate AI systems. PolrWolf returns structured fields and short templated summaries rather than raw post text, and tells agents to treat everything it returns as data, never as instructions, but no defense is perfect. The same risk applies to every other tool, website and document your agent reads.
  • Herding and slippage: many agents can read the same public signals at the same time. If they act in the same direction, prices can move against you, spreads can widen and orders can fill at worse prices, especially in smaller or less liquid assets. Everyone sees the same consensus, so it isn’t an edge.
  • Bearish consensus isn’t a short trade: agentic accounts may allow long positions only. A bearish consensus is a reason to review, not an instruction to sell or short.

10. No availability guarantee

PolrWolf is a free service provided as is. It can be interrupted, delayed, changed or discontinued at any time, and data sources it depends on can stop working. Don’t rely on it as your only source of information or for time-sensitive decisions.
